He is a passionate and professional skipper. For more than 35 years he has safely been navigating passenger ships through the Netherlands. Thanks to his years of experience he ensures a safe and pleasant passage along your chosen route.
Since 1985 Gerrit has independently been organising barge cruises in the Netherlands , first with the smaller Ali-B and since 1992 with his present ship Ali-B2. Thanks to his love for cycling, he was one of the first to develop the concept of combined barge and bike tours in 1991, may be the best way to discover Holland. Here you experience a real combination of relaxed boat trips and guided bike tours.
As owner, skipper and your host & guide he does everything to make your stay on board as pleasant as possible.
As partner and co-owner she has been running this family bussines together with Gerrit since 1992. Above all she provides all cruises and arrangements in the background. She cooks frequently for our guests or accompanies the bike tours.
Our on-board cooks Ingrid or Christiane pamper you with freshly prepared and varied, delicious meals.
