This round trip travels along the Amstel, Vecht, and Lek rivers. We dock in beautiful historic towns such as the sailing haven of Muiden, the silver city of Schoonhoven, and the riverside village of Vreeland. Cruise through stunning river landscapes, past small lakes and classic Dutch polders.
Saturday: Alphen aan den Rijn
Boarding starts at 4:00 PM. We warmly welcome you with a welcome drink, introduce the crew, and present the trip itinerary. In the evening, you can go cycling or explore Alphen.
Sunday: Amsterdam
In the morning, we cast off and stop at Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, where you can cycle to Amsterdam along a scenic route. You will have the afternoon and evening to explore the capital city.
Monday: Muiden
After breakfast, we set sail for Muiden, a beautiful old fortified town on the IJsselmeer filled with yachts and traditional sailing vessels. Next to the harbor, you can visit the medieval Muiderslot Castle. From here, take a pleasant walk to the shores of the IJsselmeer, or drop by the centuries-old harbor pub, Ome Ko.
Tuesday: Vreeland
Cruising along the enchanting Vecht river, we pass through charming towns and gorgeous natural scenery. Along the way, we stop at a traditional cheese farm for a tasting paired with wine. In the afternoon, one of the finest cycling routes in the province of Utrecht is on the agenda: through stunning Golden Age country estates and the famous cradle of sailing—the Loosdrechtse Plassen lakes.
Wednesday: Silver City Schoonhoven
In the morning, we cast off for the trip along the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal and the Lek river to the silver city of Schoonhoven. In the afternoon, you can explore this beautiful fortified town, famous for its silversmiths. Choose from various museums and galleries, or stroll along the banks of the Lek to enjoy panoramic river views.
Thursday: Cheese City Gouda
After breakfast, we cycle along the dike of the Lek and through the pristine green polder landscape to the charming village of Haastrecht. In the afternoon, we cruise along the Lek and the Hollandse IJssel to Gouda, the city of stroopwafels and Gouda cheese. Visit the magnificent city hall or St. John's Church with its world-famous stained-glass "Gouda Windows."
Friday: Return to Alphen
On the final morning, we make our return cruise to Alphen, passing through three historic vertical-lift bridges. After docking, the journey comes to an end, and we say our farewells.
